MFI technology is able to remove dust, pollen or odours as well as volatile organic compounds (VOC's) Genano's machines can also remove ultra-fine particles (UFP) including biohazard agents, viruses and bacteria. Many viruses are in the range of 0.017 to 0.3 micron which is below the HEPA filters effective range.

How Does It Work? Multifunction-ion technology (MFI) is based on the corona effect phenomenon; it uses the method of electrostatic precipitation, and was developed as a method to remove all particles from air by using ion beams that push pollutants to an oppositely charged collection surface. This surface is automatically and intermittently cleaned. This system is novel and patented.
